INTERNSHIPS

ShadowMachine is always looking for talented and creative interns to join our Emmy-winning team. Internships are available both full-time and part-time, are seasonal and dependant on our production schedule.

Puppet Fabrication/Costumes

A great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn and/or perfect skills in puppet making. Duties include armature building, seaming/paint prep castings, mold making and painting. Puppet fabrication experience preferred, but not required.

Set & Prop Design

Intern will work side-by-side with our immensely-talented scenic department.  Interns have the opportunity to build miniature sets and props that will be seen on the show.  Must be comfortable working with power tools.

Graphic Design

Intern will assist the Production Designer in creating graphics and looks for the show.  Must be proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Storyboarding

Storyboards are the blueprints for our animation.  We are looking for an
individual who is interested in story and continuity.  Intern will work closely with our storyboard artist to create our master blueprints. 

Visual Effects

Excellent hands-on digital FX/compositor experience. Duties include wire/rig removals, chroma key compositing, set extensions, rotoscoping, digital camera moves, sky replacements, and much, much more. Six months experience with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop on the Mac required. 

Production Management / Producing

Intern should have an interest in producing and day-to-day management of film and television projects.  Duties include general administrative work, assisting with production paperwork (reports, storyboard timings, etc.) and organization. Intern may work with show's production coordinator or in the producer's office.
